Hold on! What we are proposing here is not just any old red wine, but one of the most representative wines of Tuscany. We are talking about a Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, proposed in this case by Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano. The Brunello in question belongs to the Astorre Noti line, a Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano brand that was born from the partnership between the oldest cooperative in Tuscany and Alma Wines. The starting grapes are 100% Sangiovese. And not just any kind, but only the Grosso variety, the only one allowed by the strict production regulations of this noble Tuscan wine. Vinification begins with fermentation and maceration that lasts at least 25 days in temperature-controlled tanks. The crucial phase, however, is the following one, the long maturation in wood, which in this case lasts about 36 months. The containers chosen are large Slavonian oak barrels, while a small part of the mass is matured in French oak barriques. At the end of the maturation process, the wine is blended and bottled for the next stage of refinement in the bottle. In this case, too, the time required is rather long. In fact, the wine is usually kept safe in the cellar for at least another year before being put on the market. Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, this red wine has an intense colour, with garnet notes that clearly remind us how much time has passed since the harvest. On the nose, the aromas are typical of the variety, with hints of blackberry, plum, currant and cherry. On the palate, however, one discovers a pleasantly structured wine with rich, soft tannins. This is certainly not a bottle for a quick lunch or just any dinner. But if the menu is the right one, with roast meat dishes or mature cheeses... a glass of this Brunello is undoubtedly a good choice.

Astorre Noti is a brand of Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano that was born from the partnership between the oldest cooperative in Tuscany and Alma Wines. Tradition, modernity and sustainability for wines that represent the excellence of Tuscany. In this case we are dealing with an interesting Chianti Superiore DOCG, the result of a pure Sangiovese process. Vinification begins with soft pressing of the grapes followed by about 7 or 8 days of maceration and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. A simple but at the same time traditional Chianti, characterised by a beautiful intense red colour. To the nose, it surprises with its fruity aroma, with crisp notes of strawberry and cherry. In the mouth, however, it reveals itself as a pleasantly savoury and round wine, with a fine tannic texture. It is the perfect wine for more than one occasion. It is excellent with hors d'oeuvres, especially the delicious ones based on cured meats, and goes well with all types of meat. The chef's advice, however, is to pair it with a nice dish of pasta with meat sauce.

Astorre Noti is a brand of Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano that was born from the partnership between the oldest cooperative in Tuscany and Alma Wines. Tradition, modernity and sustainability for wines that represent the excellence of Tuscany. This is an elegant Chianti Riserva DOCG, produced from pure Sangiovese grapes. The most representative vine of the region, in this case, is processed just a few hours after its arrival in the cellar, so as to preserve all its best characteristics. The vinification process begins with a soft pressing, followed by maceration and fermentation. It takes about 15 days for the skins to release all their colour, aromas and most noble tannins. At that point, after racking and malolactic fermentation, a long ageing phase follows. A good 18 months in which the wine rests in Slavonian oak barrels. Then, after bottling, another 6 months of refinement in the cellar precede the definitive release. Ruby red in colour tending towards garnet, this Chianti Riserva reveals a particularly intense bouquet, with notes of morello cherries and blackberries. In the mouth, however, the taste is well balanced, with soft and elegant tannins and a long finish. This is the wine that every good grill enthusiast dreams of having on hand while the embers sizzle merrily under a thick, bone-in steak. Also perfect with game or mature cheeses.
